Heliopsis helianthoides

Bold golden-yellow blooms June–September. Longer bloom window than most native sunflowers. Deer resistant and drought tolerant once established. Excellent landscape crossover — native nurseries sell out every year. Combines well with little bluestem and bergamot in dry meadow mixes.
